Who may apply?
Criteria for the applicant:
a. The applicant is either a student in indology, at Leiden University or another Dutch university;
b. Or an employee, working in the field of indology, at Leiden University or another Dutch research institute.
Further criteria
The application will also be judged on the following criteria:
c. the scholarly activity, for which the application is submitted, should be related with indology;
d. the application should comprise of the goal, the content and the intended results of the scholarly activity;
e. clarification of the requested amount, in the form of an estimate;
f. declaration of agreement of reporting to the board (see below).
The application has to be submitted in writing or by email to the board of the VVIK.
Report to the board
The asks echt student or employee who received funding to write a short report (maximum of 500 words) on the conducted research (goal, plan and execution) and its results, for the sake of the VVIK Newsletter. The report should be submitted at the board within two months after the scholarly activity.
Indication of the amount
The amount to be awarded depends on the supplied budget and will not exceed € 650.- per application (as of January 2010).
How often can one receive a subsidy?
One can receive a subsidy from the fund two times.
